Using EFCommunity

Until now there hasn't been a virtual meeting place for people who share our interest in corporate philanthropy, CSR and community involvement. Through EFCommunity we can now participate in discussions, create groups, post events and stay connected.

We invite you to be not just a member, but to actively engage in discussions and forums, to share news and events and develop relationships with others who share our passion for maximizing social impact through corporate engagement.

Members are welcome to post activities such as conferences, training classes, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising activities on the EFCommunity events feature. Product or service promotion, personal use, solicitation, funding and grant requests are not appropriate on EFCommunity.

We welcome participation by all who are committed to positive (respectful, legal, professional) interactions related and relevant to corporate philanthropy, community involvement, and citizenship.

We look forward to connecting with you!

Entrepreneurs Foundation Announces: 2009 Education Initiative

Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF) announces our 2009 Education Initiative: an annual campaign to inspire academic success in our communities, for all income levels and neighborhoods. EF encourages companies to find ways to level the playing field in education and take action to improve access for all children.

Using the free and reduced lunch program as an indicator, there are over 225,000 children in the Bay Area who need community assistance to have the tools to succeed in school. The organizations highlighted in this initiative each support academic success in a unique way and clearly demonstrate the huge impact that a small contribution can have for a child.
Family Giving Tree - Back to School Drive provides backpacks to over 15,000 low-income children so they start the school year equipped to learn and succeed.
Resource Area For Teachers (R.A.F.T.) - Provides creative hands-on activities, educational resources, workshops and inexpensive materials to help teachers inspire their students to be creative learners and thinkers.
My New Red Shoes - Empowers homeless and very low-income youth to succeed in school by providing them with brand new clothing so that they may greet the school year with pride.
To learn more ways that employees and companies can help, refer to the Education Initiative "DO ONE THING" guide which includes a variety of volunteer opportunities, workplace drives, and resources for companies to take part in the effort to inspire academic success.
Contact Dyanne Compton or Lindsay Norcott for ideas, assistance and advice for activities to promote your drive and increase community outcomes!
